English 1101 WEEK 2 Free Write
Today our
English 1101 instructor gave us a to video watch and afterwards to write down anything
that comes to mind. The video was about
a poem by Taylor Mali. It was pretty
interesting although nothing really came to my mind because I was hungry and it
was about 2 or 3 hours after eating breakfast.
Although I could barley comprehend what Taylor Mali was saying, my ear caught the phrases talking about “what’s truth?” and “How can you claim
that the truth is true?”. All through out
the clip there was a sardonic tone making the issue seem humorous but, with a
little dusting of the surface, in actuality it reveals an issue that is
profound. Even though the video didn't emphasize much on the claim of supposed truths, this issue has for ages created divisions and controversy in the political offices and social lives of many, and it will always be a challenge to overcome.
